Lo scopo principale di questo adattatore è fornire un miglior comfort ai ciclisti che soffrono di dolore al metatarso o punti caldi. L'adattatore lo fa in due modi:

1) Il punto di pressione viene allontanato dalla pianta del piede

2) Viene fornita un'area di supporto molto più ampia, distribuendo la pressione della tacchetta su un'area 4 volte più ampia.

L'adattatore SPIN2 NON SI ADATTA a tutte le scarpe:

A) scarpe che hanno una scanalatura della tacchetta completamente incassata. Guarda le foto qui sotto. L'adattatore si adatta solo alle suole delle scarpe che non hanno bordi sporgenti dietro la tacchetta.

B) Pattini con solo due filetti disponibili per i bulloni M5. Tali piastre di base potrebbero ruotare. Guarda le foto qui sotto.

C) Pattini Specialized con 13 mm tra le file di filettatura M5 nelle staffe dell'intarsio.

Great, But…

The idea is amazing and personally it really helped me with my metatarsalgia.
But there are few things I wish were different.

1. The screws provided with the adapter are Phillips screws and they strip pretty easily, especially considering the tourqe needed to tighten them properly. I would definitely prefer hex screws instead of Phillips, ideally high quality fasteners that can handle the required torque without stripping.

2. The thread lock that is on the screws is not enough to hold the screws in place (the adapter came loose on me mid ride) ended up using a proper liquid thread lock.
I know some companies give you a little tube of liquid thread lock.

3. As a result of the added thickness, the cleats touch the ground which is not ideal with spd.
I Wouldn’t make it any slimmer, but maybe an elevated rubber platform can prevent the cleats from touching the ground.

4. The tolerance between the 3d print and the adapter is really big, even though the pressure is enough to hold it in place it can still move around a bit within the space between the two parts. Haven’t had any problems with that, other than being annoyed by it.

All in all a great product!
And I would love to see a new version, that implements solutions for the things I noticed.

Bien mais la fixation ne tient pas dans le temps

Je suis satisfait de la position de la cale mais celle ci ne tient pas dans le temps. J’ai du revisser une cale pendant une sortie alors que j’avais serré au maximum les vis de fixation. J’aime bien le principe mais je ne les utiliserai pas car j’ai peur de devoir m’arrêter au bord de la route pour revisser le système trop souvent..
